SBS’s World Cup Campaign is a breath of fresh air
We think our campaign is a lovely breath of fresh air. No 3D graphics, no athletes high kicking. Just real life fans telling their stories.

My colleagues know how I feel about awards - with a shelf already groaning with gold and silverware, why bother collecting more?
Telling important stories - for 25 years
Nothing could be more important right now in our rapidly, crazily, scarily globalising world, than a program that seeks out the stories that must be told. And tells them in an innovative way - up close, single person crews, personal stories.
Qantas follow SBS by telling stories in indigenous languages!

A great opinion piece in the Sydney Morning Herald on Saturday about aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages suggests Qantas are pioneering in putting an Aboriginal language in their television advertising. I do applaud Qantas, they do fantastic things in this area - their Reconciliation Action Plan is excellent and they do a great job of promoting their many indigenous sponsorships.
But they are following SBS. We broadcast indigenous languages as a matter of course, part of who we are and what we do.
Great Beer Marketing - mateship, the piss take and builders butt crack.
Sure it's a little try hard (you could have done without the gratuitous wind farm shot VB) but it's so feel good.
The Hottest 100 - a very modern shared experience
The country was one over the weekend, brought together by a music countdown. And who isn't dying to share their feelings about music, such a powerful, primal form of expression?
No, really! Social media is not new, so like, totally calm down everyone.
