Australia's own Fauja Singh?: 11.3.2009
(Interview only...without music...originally broadcast in march 2009)
Meet 76 year old Harbhajan Singh Aulakh, a veteran athlete who won a gold medal in every event he participated in at the 12th Australian Masters Games. These Games were held in Feb-March 2009 at Geelong, Victoria, and although Mr Aulakh was meant to participate in 11 events, he had to pull out after six because of a muscle pull. But despite clashing schdules at the events, he managed to win gold in all the six events he competed in. He will now represent Australia, competing at the World Veterans meet, to be held in Sydney later this year. His aim is to win 10 gold medals at the World championship and 11 at the next Australian Masters Games. Listen to this inspirational interview..
